Jodie Foster has fostered quite the love story.
The actress took home her first-ever Emmy Award at the 2024 ceremony on Sept. 15, picking up the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in True Detective (beating out Brie Larson for Lessons in Chemistry, Juno Temple for Fargo, Sofía Vergara for Griselda and Naomi Watts for Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.)

And while accepting the honor, Foster made sure to thank her wife of 10 years, Alexandra Hedison, for being by her side, as well as her kids Kit Bernard Foster, 22, and Charles Bernard Foster, 26, who she shares with ex Cydney Bernard.
The 61-year-old began her Emmys speech by honoring the Iñupiat and Inuit people of northern Alaska, "who just they just told us their stories," Foster explained. "They allowed us to listen and that was just a blessing. It was love, love, love. And when you feel that, something amazing happens. It’s deep and wonderful and it’s older than this place in this time."
"That’s just the message, which is love and work equals art," Foster shared. "To my boys, Charlie and Kit, remember that."
Foster—who tied the knot with Hedison in 2014—ended with a tribute to the photographer, adding, "And the love of my life, Alex Hedison, my wife. Thank you so much!"
From the crowd, Hedison—who dated Ellen DeGeneres for about three years in the early aughts—was seen giving a sweet smile to the Silence of the Lambs star.
The couple had stepped out earlier in the evening on the red carpet, with Foster donning a navy blue gown next to her partner, clad in a one-shoulder black and crimson striped dress.
